The Restaurant Association of New Zealand approached us with the task of redesigning and developing their Dinefind web platform – a nationwide directory of over 1,800 restaurants and cafés. A central hub where viewers can access specific restaurant information as well as read up on industry news and events.
Where the existing platform looked as if it had been designed at the inception of the internet, specific consideration was put into the usability and experience of the new site. A large filtering system allows for easy navigation through restaurants while a tagging system identifies restaurants that accept RANZ gift cards and vouchers, as well as award winning establishments. Users can sign-up and create an account where they can then save listings to their favourites for a later date.
The website is Built with Craft CMS and Craft Commerce. It syncs information from the member restaurants from Wild Apricot — Restaurant Association of New Zealand's membership management software, to Craft twice per day. In addition to this, the new site lets users buy gift vouchers (and soon electronic gift vouchers for each restaurant — including a way for restaurants to redeem them).
